I’m a recent graduate of the University of Calgary with a BSc in Anthropology and a double minor in Health and Society and Global Development Studies. My academic background pushed me to want to learn more about how people and policies shape one another. I joined Dr. Rita Yembilah at YEARS to better understand how community-led policy takes shape in Calgary. My work with WAGE (Women and Gender Equality) and Systems Change has allowed me to see how ideas become action, especially working at the intersections of gender, equity, and decolonial thinking. I’m drawn to public policy work because it encompasses my interests in research and collaboration to bring about social change. I’m excited to keep growing in this field as I prepare to pursue my master’s at the U of C Fall 2026. I am really passionate about making a difference through my experiences.
