Work experience
I am currently completing a Master of Public Policy at the University of Calgary, specializing in education policy. My work focuses on understanding how funding structures shape student experiences and outcomes in Alberta’s public education system. Professionally, I hope to build a career in policy analysis and research, contributing to evidence-based decisions that improve equity and long-term system performance. I was motivated to join YEARS after Dr. Yembilah invited me because of her awareness of my interest in applied research. The opportunity to contribute to a team that focuses on high-quality evaluation and research services aligns closely with my desire to develop practical, rigorous analytical skills. I’m excited to learn from others on the team and support projects that aim to improve programs and outcomes across sectors. When I’m not reading about school funding models, you can usually find me reading a good book or outside camping
