I am a third year Biology and Psychology double degree student at Ambrose University, Calgary. I aspire to work in neuroscience, researching the capacity of the human brain. I am fascinated by the biology and chemistry of the brain and how that makes the body function. I have been interested in the human anatomy since grade 3. I am currently expanding my horizons in applied science by volunteering at the Telus Spark Science Centre in Calgary. In summer 2025, after just 4 months of volunteering, I received an honorary mention at the Annual Spark Volunteers Awards for displaying the 5 Cs (Collaboration, Curiosity, Courage, Commitment, and Creativity). At Ambrose University, I participate in student life and leadership, volunteering as a Commuter Life Leader (CLL). I was also received the Ambrose University Student Council "Woman of the Year Award, 2024."
I am motivated to join YEARS because the experience I acquire working on various projects will improve my own research and evaluation knowledge, skills as well as knowledge of client interactions. Other than my passion for biology and psychology, I am musical, playing piano and flute, and teaching flute at Viva Musica Studio in Northwest Calgary. I also would dance to any rhythm because dance gives me great joy, and I love to share the joy of music and dance with others in my community.
